Nature Conservation: A Six Principles Anthology Book

Charlie Botting

Nature Conservation: A Six Principles Anthology Book shares more stories from the Trails to Empowerment community about their experiences with the principle of Nature Conservation. This builds on the stories about nature conservation in Six Principles to Live Life with Purpose, Charlie Botting’s first anthology book. The stories cover many topics about our contribution to conservation. On-the-ground conservation includes wildlife population counts, collecting grizzly hair for DNA analysis, removing invasive plant species and collecting white bark pinecones for propagation and planting. High-level conservation includes working with stakeholders to benefit wildlife, making land management plans and responding to referrals when other stakeholders want to develop their use of the area. Conservation philosophy is discussed, including some recommended reading material in the Trails to Empowerment community.
